Let's make a paper plane

Make a paper plane by following the step-by-step instructions. 

What you will need: â€‹â€‹

  • A4 Paper 

  • Things to decorate your plane: crayons, colouring pencils, felt tips or stickers. 

Step 1

Optional: create artwork on the paper before folding the plane. Or you can decorate it afterwards if you prefer.

Step 2

Fold the paper in half as shown below.

Step 3

Open the paper up again.

Step 4

Fold in the top corners as shown.

Step 5

Fold the corners in another time.

Step 6

Turn the paper sideways.

Step 7

Fold along the first fold that you made in step 2.

Step 8

Fold down the wings, folding along the dotted line shown below:

Step 7

Your plane is ready to fly. Add any further decorations and try a test flight. Hold underneath the wings and throw the plane slightly upwards and forwards. How well does it fly? Does it perform better than your loop glider?
